The business sector in Bacolod City is keen on stopping the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019, Frank Carbon of the Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said yesterday.
“We are now on the phase on how to minimize our losses, and preserve our capital. We will be ready to spring back quickly when the right time comes and start hiring again,” Carbon said.
Bacolod has reported five confirmed cases of Covid-19. The enhanced community quarantine will start today.

THE Bacolod City Council approved the extension of the Business one-stop-shop (Boss) and the deadline of payment for business permits from January 20 to February 29.
The extension was approved during the special session of the City Council Thursday, January 16.
Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran said the Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MBCCI) had earlier sent their request to Mayor Evelio Leonardia for the extension of the filing of permits and deadline of the first quarter payment of business tax.

BACOLOD Mayor Evelio Leonardia requested the City Council to extend the Business One-Stop-Shop (Boss) and the deadline of payment for business permits from January 20 to February 29.
This, after Leonardia received a request from the Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry to extend the filing of permits and deadline of the first quarter payment of tax.
Leonardia said he already signed the endorsement requesting the City Council to extend the Boss until February 29.
